What is Live Earth?

  • Live Earth is a monumental music event. It’s going to bring together more than 2 billion people to combat the climate crisis with performances from 100 headliners raging from Madonna to the Police; from Genesis to Kanye West.
  • Live Earth’s 24 hours of music across 7 continents will deliver a call to action to combat the climate crisis – and the solutions needed to answer the call. Live Earth will mark the beginning of a multi-year mass persuasion campaign led by The Alliance for Climate Protection to move individuals, corporations and governments to solve the climate crisis.

What is the Ultimate Goal?

Live Earth will be Green

  • With U.S. Green Building Council, creators of the LEED standard, Live Earth will follow a new, “Green Event Standard” that is intended to be the model for carbon neutral concerts and other live entertainment events in the future.
  • Live Earth will implement new green guidelines for every facet of its production – from lighting the stage to how artists travel to and from the concerts to reducing waste from concessions.
    • Design out emissions and waste wherever possible.
    • Reduce/reuse/recycle
    • FINALLY, complete carbon neutrality through offsets

Where are the proceeds going?

All proceeds will go to the Alliance for Climate Protection and other international NGOs to continue the momentum of the concerts.

When is the event?

Live Earth will take place at the newly built Wembley Stadium in London, on Saturday 7th July 2007. Exact timings will be announced in the press and on this website nearer the date of the concert.

Who will be performing?

So far Madonna, Genesis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, David Gray, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Paolo Nutini, Ray La Montagne, John Legend, Keane, Damien Rice, Bloc Party, Razorlight, Corinne Bailey Rae, Black Eyed Peas and James Blunt are confirmed for Live Earth with more acts to come...

How many songs will each artist perform?

The final running order of the concert, and how many songs each artist will perform, is yet to be determined.

Are the artists performing for free?

Yes, all the artists will be performing for free, although the concert organisers will cover performance costs.

Where is the venue? How do I get there?

Wembley Stadium is located in North West London and is 10-12 minute train journey from Baker St or Marylebone. Nearest stations are:

  • Wembley Park (Jubilee & Metropolitan tube lines)
  • Wembley Stadium (Chiltern rail)
  • Wembley Central (Bakerloo tube, Silverlink rail)

What time will I need to get to the venue, when will the show start and finish?

Doors will open at 11:30 for this concert, which is due to start at around 13:30 and end at approximately 22:30.

What seat will I be sitting in?

We will be able to confirm seat numbers to customers at the point of sale, just like any other show. A plan will be available online for customers to check seating.

Will the show be seated or standing? Can I choose?

Both standing and seated tickets will be available though they are subject to availability.

Will there be food and drink stalls at Wembley?

The newly built Wembley Stadium will have plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, distributed equally throughout the stadium and located on the spacious concourses, which surround the stadium bowl on every level. On the top level there is an outdoor terrace with spectacular views across London.

Will there be special security measures?

As at all large arenas and stadia, there will be security guards and bag checks. Wembley Stadium will be no exception.

Is there any car parking?

Wembley Stadium is a public transport destination and we recommend that you plan to arrive at Wembley using public transport. As part of the stadium's redevelopment significant investment has gone into the local transport infrastructure to make travelling by public transport the best option for travelling to Wembley. Ticketing Questions

When will tickets go on sale?

Tickets are only available to customers registered in the ballot that closed on Monday 16 April 2007.

How and where can I buy tickets?

Only customers selected from the ballot will be able to purchase tickets. Successful applicants will be notified by SMS Text Message. There is no charge for this SMS Text Message and customers will be given a reference number and details of how to buy tickets. Please note: Ticket purchases will be strictly limited to two tickets per person and per billing address.

Please ensure you choose the appropriate ticket type you wish to buy. The options you have are standard ticket, VIP ticket, wheelchair users ticket and ambulant disabled ticket. For further information on VIP packages, click here (anchored to foot of page)

How much are the tickets?

The standard ticket Price is £55 plus a booking fee. There is a standard £4.95 Special Delivery Fee for postage for all orders. This ensures that the tickets are sent as an insured item.

Can I pay by cash or cheque?

Cash or cheque payments can be made in person from the box office at Wembley Arena. You will be required to provide your password at the box office. Once validated you will be able to purchase two tickets. Cash payments will not incur a booking fee.

Overseas Bookings

Overseas customers will be able to register for the ballot. Tickets will be held at the venue box office should you be successful in obtaining tickets.

What if I decide I don’t actually want to buy the tickets?

On receipt of the SMS Text Message, purchases must be made by Friday 20 April at 12 noon. All outstanding ticket offers will be put in to another ballot from the existing list of customers and this process will continue until all tickets have sold out.

Is there a waiting list for returns?

No, tickets will only be sold to customers registered in the ballot. Should any tickets be returned, we will make them available to customers who originally registered.

How do I book a wheelchair or disabled access space?

Customers with access requirements also need to register for this ballot though there are two alternative categories you are able to register on – Wheelchair users and ambulant disabled. Disabled customers are entitled to one free carer ticket though this will constitute the two-ticket restriction in place. Any further requirements must be raised with the telephone operator when making your booking.

Customers are required to address any special needs when registering in the ballot, as the event promoter may not be able to provide those needs without prior notice. Please note: All disabled customers including ambulant disabled will be required to show disabled documentation.

How many tickets can I buy?

Ticket purchases will be limited to four tickets per person and per billing address. Customers can purchase up to 20 VIP packages per person.

I have seen tickets for sale on other websites, why shouldn’t I buy them there?

The only place to buy tickets online is through the ballot. No tickets have been allocated to third party ticketing agents. All tickets are non-transferable.

When will I get my tickets?

Your tickets will not be posted out to you until much nearer the event (about 2 weeks prior), to prevent forgeries.

Is there an age limit? Does everyone have to have a ticket?

We do not recommend this event for small children. No children under the age of 5 or babes in arms will be admitted to the venue and no children under the age of 8 will be admitted to the standing area. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 21.

The ballot for VIP packages has now closed. During phase 1 and 2 of the draw everyone who entered the VIP Package ballot was given the opportunity to purchase VIP packages (subject to their availability at the time of ordering).
